I have cherished my work in this industry. My journey in Early Childhood began in 1997 when I started a Family Child Care Center in my home along with my two children, (Tamara’s Tiny Tots). During this time in my home I was able to complete my Degree in Early Childhood Education. After many requests to grow, I expanded to a Group Child Care Center in my home. My Center was very successful. In 2003, my children were getting older than daycare age so I decided it was time to move my Center out of my home. I opened Creative Learning Center in September 2003. My dream is to guide and educate all the children in my care. We have many different programs going on during the day. We have partnered with many agencies in the Early Intervention Field which will help us help your child reach their highest potential in early childhood development and learning. Thank you for your interest in our Center.
Big Mike worked along with Miss Tamara in their home daycare “Tamara’s Tiny Tots.” He volunteered his time at the Center on his days off from his primary job. Big Mike also assisted Miss Tamara when “Tamara’s Tiny Tots” moved out of their home to Creative Learning Center of the Lehigh Valley Inc. Big Mike has retired from his primary job and is working full time at CLCLV. Big Mike wears many hats at CLCLV from billing & receiving, ordering, oversees the Food Program by making sure quality food is ordered, serving sizes are appropriate for each age group, maintenance, helping in the classroom when needed in both Forks and Palmer Centers. He is cherished by the children, parents and staff.
Kayla has been employed by Creative Learning Center of the Lehigh Valley since August 2010, while she was attending Nazareth Area High School. In 2014, she attended Millersville University for Early Childhood Education. During that time, she worked as a lead teacher in an infant room in a daycare in Lancaster. She moved home in 2015 to finish her BS Degree in Early Childhood Education at Drexel University. She was also the Lead Teacher in our PREK 3 classroom. Kayla has worked in all the rooms in our Palmer location to some degree. Kayla has many more years’ experience in this field because she has been by her mother’s side, Tamara since she started her business in 1997. Kayla has gained valuable experience and knowledge throughout all the years her parents have been running CLCLV. Kayla had a baby in December 2016. When she returned to work, in our Palmer facility, Kayla became Assistant Director, assisting Miss Gabriela, at our Palmer Location. She is now The Executive Director overseeing both centers (Palmer and Forks). She is responsible for meeting and greeting all new students and parents, creating curriculum and theme-based decisions that enhance the well-being of all our students. She observes our teachers very closely and conducts evaluations of each teacher and their classrooms regularly. She is responsible for making sure all teachers have their yearly training hours completed and that they are current with CPR, Fire and FIRST Aid training and certifications. Kayla is very diligent in following all the Keystone Stars rules and regulations, ensuring all classrooms are more than just compliant.
Gabriela has been employed by Creative Learning Center of the Lehigh Valley since January 2014. Gabriela graduated from East Stroudsburg University majoring in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Starting in our Preschool 3 classroom Gabriela worked on getting children ready for Kindergarten and helped with homework with the aftercare school agers. When we expanded our center, Gabriela moved to our School Age room where she worked with the before and after care children as well as the Easton half day Kindergarteners. While working in the school age classroom Gabriela created our full day Kindergarten curriculum and got it approved by the Board of Education. Gabriela also went back to school for her Director Credential Certification and became the Director at our Palmer location. As the Director Gabriela is responsible for meeting and greeting all new students and parents, overseeing our curriculum and helping to make academic decisions that enhance the well-being of all our students. She observes our teachers very closely and conducts evaluations on each teacher and their classrooms regularly. Gabriela is responsible for making sure all teachers have their yearly training hours completed and that they are current with CPR, Fire and FIRST Aid training and certifications. Gabriela is very diligent in following all the Keystone Stars rules and regulations, ensuring all classrooms are more than just compliant. Knowing that it can be hard to leave your child, Gabriela strives to make sure your family feels welcomed and involved in our center.
